Hi we just had our engineered wood floor installed urban floor by a professional installer just only a month and a half ago. Pulled carpet removed staples countersink any nail heads belt sanded with 36g sanded with 60g sanded with 80g sanded with 120g w each grit we went over the floor once but overlapped boards vacuumed hand wiped with cloth again with tack cloth applied 1 layer of stain let dry for 24 hrs wiped the floors used a tack cloth applied 1st coat of poly. For example it s not uncommon for old floors to start peeling as the old polyurethane topcoat starts to deteriorate. We recently had our floors screened and recoated throughout the house.
